Nick Cannon’s dream comes true at Office Depot

8/9/2013

Forget about hosting America’s Got Talent or being married to Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon is living the dream at Office Depot where the retailing is promoting a line of back-to-school supplies designed in collaboration with the rapper, actor, comedian.

Office Depot this week launched the Cannon-designed line called NCredible that features flash drive bracelets and carabiners, iPhone 5 cases, notebooks, folders, a backpack and pens. According to the company, the product line is designed to empower, enrich and excite, while encouraging students to reach beyond their goals and influence the world around them.

"Office Depot wants all students to go back-to-school happy and feeling good about succeeding in the classroom," said Christine Buscarino, Office Depot’s VP of customer experience. "By partnering with Nick, we were able to deliver an NCredible product line, one that can be incorporated into any student's style and make them equipped to thrive in class."

According to Cannon, “launching my own line of NCredible school supplies is a dream come true. Back-to-school was always such a fun, exciting time for me as a youth and I am grateful to Office Depot for giving me the opportunity to introduce a stylish and affordable option to help students achieve their goals every day."

The products could also help Office Depot achieve their profit margin goals, assuming the premium price products are embraced by kids. The 16Gb flash drive and 32Gb caribiner storage devices are priced at $19.99 and $39.99, respectively and the iPhone 5 case retails for $14.99. A spiral notebook protector costs $2.99 and a two pocket folder costs $1.79. The most expensive item in the line is a backpack capable of holding a 17.3 inch laptop which goes for $59.99.
