New album is Martin’s first in six years
If you think of Ricky Martin as a one-hit wonder (who doesn’t remember “Livin’ la Vida Loca?”) guess again. Since that catchy pop tune was released more than 10 years ago, Martin became a bonafide superstar selling 65 million records worldwide. Now he has a memoir title Me on the New York Times Bestseller list and an exclusive agreement with Target to serve as a distribution partner for his 12th album, Musica + Alma + Sexo.
The album will be available at Target stores and online beginning Feb.1. The Target deluxe version of Martin’s new bilingual album will feature seven exclusive tracks, including two dance mixes, three unreleased songs and solo versions of Martin’s new hit single “Lo Mejor De Mi Vida Eres Tú” / “The Best Thing About Me Is You.”
“Target is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Ricky Martin on an exclusive version of his new album and to offer his fans new and original album content,” said John Butcher, VP entertainment for Target. “Music has historically played an important role in Target’s business, and this partnership reflects our commitment to working with artists across all music genres to provide our guests great value on the music they love.”
