New AC/DC Album to Be Sold Only in Wal-Mart

Bentonville, Ark. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said Monday that a new AC/DC album, "Black Ice," will be sold exclusively in Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores starting Oct. 20. The album is the band's first containing all-new material in eight years.

The deal is part of a wider strategy for the retailer to get exclusive deals to sell CDs. It is the latest album to be sold under such an arrangement. Wal-Mart has sold albums by the Eagles and Journey under similar arrangements in recent months.
