Loehmann's celebrates Fashion Week with in-store runway show

NEW YORK — Loehmann's, which operates 40 off-price apparel stores in 11 states, announced that it is kicking of New York Fashion Week with its first-ever runway fashion show at its New York flagship store in Chelsea on Sept. 8. The event, in celebration of Fashion's Night Out, will feature more than 25 creative looks complete with silhouettes and styles from Loehmann's famous "Back Room" collection of high-end designer collections, the company reported.

In between the two shows, store guests will have an opportunity to see an exciting presentation of One Dress, One Guess from 100 Little Black Dresses Million Dollar Giveaway, sponsored by Little Black Dress Wines and Loehmann's. 100 LBD's from Loehmann's, each accessorized with an envelope, will be put on display. The 2011 winner of Little Black Dress Wines' Red Cork promotion, Ronni Calhoun, from Austin, TX, will get one guess for the one dress and envelope she believes has the $1 million prize.

Loehmann's said it will also hold designer sample sales at its Chelsea and Upper West Side stores.
