Kroger promotes loyalty program with free minutes

CINCINNATI Kroger has partnered with wireless phone marketer I-Wireless for a program that will allow customers to earn free cell-phone minutes on I-Wireless phones sold at Kroger when they use their KrogerPlus card.

For every $100 spent a month, shoppers will earn 20 free minutes. Kroger-branded MasterCard users will earn 30 minutes for every $100 spent.

The program is expected to be active in all Kroger's 2,300-plus stores in 31 states by the end of June, with the exception of its Food 4 Less chain.
