Kohler to Open First-Ever Retail Store

Kohler, Wisc., The kitchen and bath plumbing giant is about to make a giant leap into retail. Kohler Co. has announced that its first store will open in Chicago at the end of this month. The prototype will debut with a 7,000-sq.-ft. showroom, opening Oct. 31 at the Merchandise Mart’s LuxeHome shopping mall.

In a move that puts Kohler’s mid-priced and upper-end products directly in front of the homeowner for the first time, the expansion into retail will continue, according to the company, with many more stores throughout the United States.
