Jo-Ann Stores partners with quilting expert

HUDSON, Ohio M'Liss Rae Hawley, an internationally recognized quilting expert, has designed a special line of fabrics and classes exclusively for Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores to help inspire quilters of all skill levels.

Hawley's fabric line features a variety of colors and patterns in themes such as floral, feline and world travel, Jo-Ann Stores reported. The fabrics are a 100% cotton and are available for $6.99 per yard, Hawley said.

“M’Liss’ fabulous new designs are a wonderful addition to the quilting assortment offered to our customers,” said Michelle Christensen, Jo-Ann vp of general merchandise manager. “Combined with her classes, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is the destination for all quilting needs.” 

Hawley has created the "Experiencing Quilting with M'Liss" classes for Jo-Ann Store's Creative University. According to the company, the sessions teach everything needed to begin and finish a quilt – from color theory, fabric selection, and rotary cutting to sewing, machine quilting, binding and labeling.
