Home Depot opens DC in Ala.

Birmingham, Ala. The Home Depot opened its new $33 million distribution center in McCalla, Ala., on Wednesday.

The company recently opened the 600,000-sq.-ft. facility, which employs more than 200 associates.

Known as a rapid deployment center, it will serve approximately 150 Home Depot retail stores throughout the Southeast.
