H-E-B Adds Payment Kiosks
San Antonio H.E. Butt Grocery Co. will feature bill payment and financial services kiosks in 26 of its Texas-based stores.
The self-service units will enable shoppers to make payments on their wireless, utility, cable and other personal accounts without cashier intervention. Shoppers can also purchase pre-paid products and services, and reload pre-paid debit cards directly through the kiosks.
"With these kiosks, we hope to provide our customers with a convenient service that enhances their one-stop shopping experience in our stores," said Winell Herron, H-E-B group VP, public affairs and diversity.
The units, which are expected to be available in stores by early spring, will be located near H-E-B’s Business Centers. They are expected to alleviate payment traffic during peak times, according to a company statement.
