GameStop hosts West Coast debut of Halo 3

LOS ANGELES GameStop Corp. hosted the West Coast premier of the highly anticipated launch of Microsoft's Halo 3. The event was held outside of GameStop's Flagship store at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles, where thousands of fans lined up to get their first copy of the game, the company announced.

"Rarely do we get the opportunity to experience a historical event like the biggest launch in video game history - one that is equivocal if not bigger than that of a movie launch," said Jim Wimpress, vp of stores for GameStop Corp. "It is an exciting moment for us at GameStop to be part of the launch of Halo 3 in Los Angeles - a city where some of the most powerful entertainment industry moments happen."
