Electronics e-retailer to pop up in Calif. shopping center

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — Newegg Inc., a leading electronics-focused e-retailer, is getting set to open its first-ever popup store from August 16-18 in The Oaks shopping center in Thousand Oaks, Calif.


Newegg's exclusive store event will feature more than 70 products for showrooming, including Intel-inspired Ultrabooks, 4th generation Intel Core i7 laptops, Sony VAIO laptops, tablets, digital cameras and wireless speakers, Samsung tablets and solid-state drives and WD hard drives and personal cloud storage devices.


Showrooming allows e-commerce businesses to showcase their product offerings and gives potential consumers the chance to test drive items before buying. E-retailers can leverage popup stores to increase consumer traffic to their site because the store gives them a chance to interact with consumers face-to-face and establish themselves as a trustworthy, dependable businesses that exist in the digital space.


The popup store will be open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. PDT Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17, and from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. PDT Sunday, Aug. 18. All purchases made during the store event will be delivered via free next-day shipping by Newegg's regional shipping partner OnTrac.


The e-retailer will also offer limited-time in-store deals and promotions for all customers who attend the inaugural popup store event. The first 100 customers to arrive at the store on each day will receive a free gift.

The Oaks is located at 350 West Hillcrest Drive.
