eBay remains top site for home and garden

Despite slipping in its number of unique visitors in July from July 2006, eBay remained at the top of the list of online home and garden destinations, edging out second place holder Home Depot by about 400,000 unique visitors. Internetretailer.com, citing the latest ratings by Nielsen/NetRatings, reported that eBay led the category with 11.6 million unique visitors, a 3% decrease from last year.

Lowe's, Home Shopping Network, and HGTV - Home & Garden Television rounded out the top five home and garden sites, with unique visitors numbering in 8.9 million, 3.9 million and 3.8 million, respectively.
