Saks Fifth Avenue will be soaring to new heights with an unprecedented promotional event at its flagship store in New York City this month.

Sixteen dancers from the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School in Florida will be performing live in the windows of the store on Fifth Avenue on June 6 and June 7.

SCBS is committed to cultural diversity in dance, and to using this timeless art form to promote international understanding.

The dancers traveling from Sarasota for the special performance at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York are part of a mentoring program spearheaded by Sarasota philanthropist Dr. Suzanne Kesten, who founded her mentoring program in 2012. The mentoring program assists promising young dancers as they pursue professional careers. Dr. Kesten is a benefactor of SCBS, where her generosity has provided her mentees with scholarships for the Summer Intensive, yearlong training courses and private lessons.
