Cost Plus to sell food-focused wines

OAKLAND, Calif. Cost Plus World Market has launched a new line of wines that focus on food pairings.

The wine line, named "Foodies," includes Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, each with a distinct label that features an illustration showing which food pairs best. The bottles will retail for $7.99 for 750ml, with variations based on market.

“We are excited about the newest member of our ‘wine family.’ Foodies was created to make food and wine pairing easy and affordable. It’s a great everyday choice for food lovers everywhere,” said Julie Joy, World Market’s senior national wine buyer.
