Century 21 tries out smaller footprint
ELIZABETH, N.J. — Century 21 is opening a new concept store at the Outlet Collection Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, N.J. The retailer hopes a smaller footprint will offer shoppers an “elevated shopping experience” with a highly edited assortment of fashion and accessories for men and women.
The Jersey Gardens location will feature state-of-the-art interactive LED screens where customers can share social content in real time. Shoppers will be able to shop with mobile point-of-sale capabilities for top domestic and European designer brands at up to 65% off retail prices. The retailer also plans on reinventing the look and feel of the 32,000-sq.-ft. space every six months to provide new inspiration for shoppers.
"We are always looking for opportunities to expand our brand and will be in great company among the many high-end retailers at Jersey Gardens," said Raymond Gindi, CEO of Century 21 Department Store. "We're excited to test this new small store format prototype in such a high-traffic area that caters to both locals and tourists."
"We are pleased to add Century 21 to our tenant roster at The Outlet Collection Jersey Gardens. Our primary goal with the $30 million redevelopment of the center is to attract premium tenants carrying top designer brands like Century 21. The center attracts shoppers from all over the world making it a great platform to launch new designer brands and concepts," said T.J. Drought, EVP, leasing.
