Cardtronics to provide PNC-branded ATMs at Harris Teeter stores

7/30/2012

HOUSTON — Retail financial services provider Cardtronics announced that its Harris Teeter- located ATMs will be branded by PNC Bank. The ATMs will be surcharge-free fro PNC Bank customers. Harris Teeter operates a regional chain of supermarkets, with its base of operations in North Carolina. Cardtronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CATM) is the world's largest retail ATM owner.

In 2011, Harris Teeter named Cardtronics its ATM services provider, with plans to expand in-store ATM availability and develop a consistent ATM experience for its customers. Less than a year later, Cardtronics has delivered on both expectations, with PNC Bank set to brand 191 Cardtronics-owned, Harris Teeter-located ATMs.

"PNC is always looking for innovative ways to make banking easier and more convenient for our customers, and these Cardtronics ATMs located in 191 Harris Teeter grocery stores are a great way to expand our services throughout North Carolina and beyond," said Jim Burzotta, retail banking executive for PNC's Southeast region.

Inclusive of the Harris Teeter locations, PNC Bank’s ATM branding relationship with Cardtronics now covers more than 585 ATMs in eight states plus Washington, D.C., with the cash machines found in some of America’s most well-known grocery, gasoline-convenience and pharmacy stores.
