Burlington warms hearts with warm coats

Burlington has partnered with K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers and ABC’s Good Morning America for its eighth annual Warm Coat Warm Hearts coat drive, themed around “Families Helping Families.”

The coat drive, which kicks off on Saturday, November 1, 2014, will benefit K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing apparel and other products donated by manufacturers and retailers to community charities across the U.S. and throughout the world.

Consumers and their families are invited to donate gently-worn coats at drop boxes at Burlington locations nationwide to help the many families in need of coats during the cold season. Coats should be in good condition, with working closures and no rips or stains. As a thank you, those who donate will receive 10% off their entire purchase at Burlington through Jan. 19, 2015.

"Our goal at Burlington this year is to encourage families to help other families this holiday season," said Tom Kingsbury, president and CEO, Burlington Stores. "The Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Coat Drive allows us to spread warmth nationwide, providing coats to those most in need within communities surrounding our stores."

Good Morning America has joined this charitable effort by committing to promote the program on-air and on their website starting on November 10, 2014. This will remind the millions of viewers about the ongoing need for coats all across the country, and demonstrate how people can help each and every day.
