Books-A-Million buys interest in yogurt chain

Birmingham, Ala. Books-A-Million announced on Thursday that the company purchased a minority equity interest in Yogurt Mountain Holding, LLC.

The bookstore chain did not disclose the size or price of its stake in the self-serve frozen yogurt store chain.

Yogurt Mountain, a self-service healthy frozen yogurt concept, operates two stores in Alabama.

Books-A-Million presently operates more than 200 stores in 23 states and the District of Columbia. The company operates large superstores under the names Books-A-Million and Books & Co., and traditional bookstores operating under the name Bookland and Books-A-Million.
