Blue Nile shines with new designers

10/29/2014

Blue Nile, the original online jeweler, has added a couple of gems to its roster with Sloane Street and Lisa Jenks joining the ranks of the Blue Nile Designer Collective.

Sloane Street was founded by Frances Gadbois, former designer and co-founder of JudeFrances, and her daughter Charlotte. Gadbois’s Sloane Collection appeals to a classic audience and is set in 18k gold, featuring rubies, sapphires and other precious and semi-precious stones. The Sage by Sloane Street Collection, designed by Charlotte Gadbois, is inspired by her eclectic and youthful style, and includes diamonds, pearls, and her signature "rough diamond," which appears in every piece. Both collections appeal to trendsetters of all ages, include earrings, necklaces, and bracelets and range from $225 to $2,095.

Lisa Jenks, a critically acclaimed designer, has been honing her distinct style for over 20 years, according to the company. Her designs are inspired by a broad cultural landscape and reference multicultural patterns and architectural details. Each piece is handcrafted in her New York City workshop and feature pear and sterling silver in necklaces, bracelets and earings, with prices ranging from $125 to $995.

"Sloane Street and Lisa Jenks are two of the most talented designers creating jewelry today, and both bring, fresh, artistic, and matchless style," said Blue Nile Chief Merchandising Officer Julie Yoakum. "Our customers choose Blue Nile because of great style combined with superior quality and these designers are a perfect fit."

Launched in March 2014, the Blue Nile Designer Collective is an extension of the company's partnership with designers, including Monique Lhuillier Fine Jewelry since October 2012 and Zac Posen since October 2013.
