BJ's Wholesale Profit Jumps 24%
New York City BJ's Wholesale Club posted a 24% rise in third-quarter profit on Wednesday, helped by an increase in shopper traffic and strong results from its gasoline stations.
The company also raised its forecast for full-year profit.
Profit for the third quarter ended Nov. 1 was $28.2 million compared to $22.7 million from a year earlier.
Earlier this month, BJ's said third-quarter sales rose 13.4% to $2.4 billion.
Meanwhile, same-store sales rose 11.9%, or 6.6% excluding gas.
