Bauer ends 31-year tenure with Unilever
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. Unilever has reported that Mike Bauer will retire from the role of vp and general manager of spreads, dressings and beverages, effective April 1.
“During Mike’s almost 31-year tenure, he has contributed immensely to the growth and value of Unilever’s business in the United States,” said Kevin Havelock, president of Unilever U.S. “We thank him for all of his hard work and dedication through the years and wish him well on this next chapter of his life.”
While at Unilever, Bauer helped grow Unilever’s share of the margarine category from a 7% to a 50% market share and was instrumental in developing several new brands that were taken national such as Shedd’s Spread Country Crock, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, Brummel and Brown, and Promise Take Control.
