Barnes & Noble celebrates Black History Month
NEW YORK Barnes & Noble announced that it will celebrate Black History Month with special events and promotions recognizing the significant contributions by African-Americans to the world’s social, political and economic development.
Throughout February, all Barnes & Noble stores will have special display tables, featuring such works as Nelson Mandela: A Life in Photographs by David Elliot Cohen. In addition, Barnes & Noble stores will also highlight the artwork of acclaimed African-American artist/author Synthia Saint James on an exclusive signature tote bag and signage throughout the store.
Barnes & Noble stores across the country also will host Storytime events with readings and themed activities, as well as local author events related to Black History Month.
