Banana Republic to Open Monogram Banner
San Francisco Banana Republic will open its first standalone Monogram concept store in New York City on April 7, according to DRNnews.com.
The retailer will convert its Bleeker Street location in New York City’s Greenwich Village to the Monogram banner, which will serve as a test store for nine months. The brand will feature more expensive, sophisticated collections, including tailored pieces for men and women.
The men’s Monogram apparel line debuted last fall, and the women’s line is set to launch this spring. Accessories are planned for the fall.
Currently, the chain has no future plans for additional Monogram stores.
