Apparel retailer launches first mobile app in Europe

Tommy Hilfiger is giving European customers a new way to connect with its brand.

The specialty apparel retailer joined forces with PredictSpring to launch a mobile app targeting the European market. The app will enable consumers in 17 countries to log into their Hilfiger Club loyalty accounts, and receive personalized messages, promotions and event invitations.

It will also enable them to scan price tags in-store to check product availability and order items directly through the app; and receive push and geo-fence notifications. Shoppers will also be able to access wish lists purchase histories, and a store locator, as well as shop looks directly from the brand’s Instagram feed, including looks from the TommyxGigi capsule collection linked to brand ambassador Gigi Hadid, according to the retailer.

"Our mission was to democratize the runway and make every look immediately available to all consumers around the world," said Avery Baker, chief brand officer, Tommy Hilfiger.

"Our social channels amplify the dynamic, engaging story around our runway shows, and we wanted to take this to the next level with the integration of shopping functionality via a dedicated mobile app,” Baker said. “The PredictSpring approach creates a seamless consumer experience that reflects how the current generations of digital natives are using social media and interacting with their favorite brands today.”

The Tommy Hilfiger app is available for download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play store.
