A.C. Moore names new VP marketing

BERLIN, N.J. A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts announced that Richard Arthur joined the company as its VP marketing and advertising effective Dec. 1. He will report directly to the chief marketing and merchandising officer, David Abelman.

Most recently, Arthur was senior director of marketing for arts and crafts retailer Michaels Stores, where he was responsible for strategic marketing, agency management and media buying. Prior to joining Michaels, he was director of marketing for Mervyn’s, the department store chain and previously a division of Target Corp.

 

Arthur said, “I am thrilled to join A.C. Moore. I am extremely impressed with the management team and the passion everyone has displayed for the business. I believe that the arts and crafts space is vibrant and has tremendous growth opportunities. I look forward to working with the entire A.C. Moore team and the vendor community in building marketing, advertising and promotional programs that drive sales and traffic.”
