99 Cents Only reports first-ever price increase

CITY OF COMMERCE, Calif. 99 Cents Only announced that it was raising its top price from 99 cents to 99.99 cents, an increase of almost a whole penny. The price increase is the stores first ever in 26 years.

Eric Schiffer, ceo of 99 Cents Only Stores, said, "This nearly one cent price raise will help 99 Cents Only Stores offset some of the increased costs of doing business including higher fuel and commodity costs, while still maintaining its leading position as America’s Inflation Fighter!"
