New activations arrive at Westfield Old Orchard

Westfield Old Orchard is ready for summer with new activations, outdoor seating at select restaurants, and new store and restaurant openings.

The Skokie, Ill. center, which is slated to soon undergo a multi-phase, mixed-used redevelopment project, has announced a lineup of upcoming events for its visitors to enjoy throughout the season:

• Little Orchard Kids Club Starting June 4, kids can join the center on the first and third
  Tuesday at 10 a.m. through August at the play area near L.L. Bean and Anthropologie for story time, snacks, and crafts.
• Mimosas & Movement Visitors can enjoy fitness classes led by top instructors from brands like Vuori, Lululemon, and Fabletics, followed by brunch specials at the center’s dining destinations such as The Hampton Social, Bar Siena, Tortazo, and Nespresso.
• Summer Celebration Visitors can enjoy live music, food truck vendors, and family activities on select weekends on The Green near LUSH. More details to come.
• FUNBOX Returning to the center this summer is the "World's Biggest Bounce Park" inflatable entertainment and experience. Tickets are now available to visit on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. - 7:30 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
• Skokie Car Show In partnership with the Village of Skokie, car enthusiasts can visit the west parking lot every Monday evening from 6:00 pm-sunset for classic car hobby entertainment, music, and giveaways for the entire family.

“Our open-air center is a prime spot to bring the entire family together this summer,” said Westfield Old Orchard general manager Maegen Akers. “We are thrilled to debut a variety of events to the center this summer and welcome guests of all ages to check out our retailers, dine in our incredible restaurants and stay for the festivities.”

New tenants have also arrived just in time for summer. Recently, Westfield Old Orchard welcomed the newest flagship location of fashion retailer Zara, the opening of Rick Bayless’s latest concept, Tortazo, and is preparing to open high-end furniture retailer Arhaus in early June.

Mall guests can also now enjoy outdoor dining, specials and live music at popular spots including Roka Akor, Bar Siena, Uncle Julio’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Shake Shack, The Hampton Social, and more.

Operated by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Westfield Old Orchard’s roster includes more than 150 retailers, dining options, and event spaces.
