Nature's Emporium names new CEO
A natural and organic Canadian grocer's longstanding leader is stepping down.
Joe D’Addario, who co-founded Nature's Emporium and has served as both president (1993-2021) and CEO (since 2021), will transition into the role of chair of the board. In this new position, he will continue to provide “vision and oversight” for the company, supporting its next phase of growth.
Steve Hollingsworth has been named as D’Addario’s successor, effective Aug. 11, 2025. He joins the retailer from supplement brand Genuine Health, where he has served for nearly five years, most recently as president since January of 2023. He joined the company in 2020 as chief revenue officer.

Hollingsworth’s previous experience includes several roles at Loblaw Companies Limited, most recently as head of e-commerce for Shoppers Drug Mart, a role he held for six years.

Nature’s Emporium says the CEO transition reflects its continued commitment to “operational excellence, community connection and customer care,” while positioning the business for long-term growth in an evolving retail landscape.

Founded in 1993, Nature’s Emporium operates six locations across Ontario (Newmarket, Woodbridge, Maple, Burlington, Toronto and Oakville).
