T&T Supermarkets plans second SoCal store
Canada’s largest Asian grocer is planning a second store in the Southern California suburbs.
T&T Supermarkets, which is owned by The Loblaw Cos., will open a 61,000-sq.-ft. store in Chino Hills, Calif. in fall 2026, marking the chain’s sixth planned location in the United States.
Located within Crossroads Marketplace Chino Hills, the store will join a lineup of major retailers within the center, including Costco and PetSmart. T&T says the newlocation will create 350 jobs for the local community.
The Chino Hills store announcement comes weeks after T&T Supermarkets announced plans to open its debut Southern California store in winter 2026. The 34,000-sq.-ft. T&T store will be located within an upcoming retail development, known as The Canopy, in the master-planned Great Park community in Irvine
"We're so excited to continue our expansion in California," said Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarkets. "Chino Hills is a wonderful community to live, and we can't wait to add to the local food scene. We're transforming two vacant retail spaces, former Best Buy and Bed Bath & Beyond – into one big food destination spanning 61,000 sq. ft. Get ready for the full T&T experience! This is such an exciting time for us – 2026 is going to be a busy year!"
T&T opened its first U.S. store in Bellevue, Wash. in December 2024 and has continued to build momentum since. The latest announcement comes on the heels of previously announced stores in Lynnwood, Wash. and in San Jose and San Francisco, Calif.
At T&T stores, guests can find a wide variety of self-serve authentic Asian hot food, over 150 varieties of freshly-baked bread and more than 50 types of desserts and pastries, over 200 T&T private label products, Asian wine & spirits, and more.
