Mercatus enters personalization partnership

Mercatus is collaborating with Eagle Eye on digital promotions.

The Mercatus grocery e-commerce platform is teaming up with a digital marketing technology company.

Mercatus is integrating its platform with customer engagement solutions provider, Eagle Eye to help grocery retailers deliver more personalized and targeted digital promotions.

As a result, Mercatus hopes to enable grocery retailers conducting e-commerce on its platform to create seamless, engaging, and tailored online shopping experiences, improving the overall performance of their loyalty programs.

Leveraging the Eagle Eye digital customer engagement solution, Mercatus will provide grocery retailers with real-time customer data they can use to create personalized promotional initiatives to drive shopper loyalty and increase sales.

As the partnership continues to evolve, the two companies say they will explore new ways to leverage their combined expertise and technology offerings to drive growth and create value for their clients.

Mercatus partners with a variety of third-party solutions and services providers to bolster the capabilities it offers grocers. For example, the company offers the Instacart Connect integration, which enables retailers on its platform to leverage the Instacart fulfillment infrastructure to manage their online orders, without giving up control over their customer relationships.

As a result, customers can go directly to a participating grocer’s e-commerce site to place their orders, instead of going through the Instacart marketplace for their delivery service. Behind the scenes, the order is placed and then routed from the retailer-owned site to Instacart, which dispatches an Instacart shopper to pick, pack and deliver the order to the customer.

Meanwhile, Eagle Eye also works with grocers such as Giant Eagle, which utilizes the Eagle Eye AIR intelligent digital marketing platform to facilitate a personalized loyalty offers at scale.

The grocer also leverages the Eagle Eye AIR platform to enable the end-to-end management of real-time personalized promotions, enabling the retailer to continue to upgrade its in-store customer experience and shift away from traditionally paper-based promotional activity.
