Two store banners of Tailored Brands are introducing free buy-online-pickup-in-store (BOPIS) programs.
Jos. A. Bank and Men’s Wearhouse are concurrently rolling out BOPIS programs. The two menswear retailers are owned by Tailored Brands, which recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Customers of both specialty menswear chains can shop for BOPIS-eligible items online, and select “Free Pickup” as they add them to their cart. Once the store fulfills a shopper’s pickup order, their credit card will be charged. As soon as a BOPIS order is ready for pickup, customers receive an email confirming that their items are ready at their store of choice. Shoppers then follow the pickup instructions in the email and head to their selected store.
At the store, customers enter, let a store associate know that they have an online order for pickup, and present their email confirmation and a valid ID. The name on the ID must match the name on order – nobody besides the customer who placed the order can pick it up. For contactless curbside pickup, customers call the store upon arrival and ask an associate to bring item(s) to them.
Orders will be ready to for pickup on either the same day that the order is placed or the next day. Items will be available for pickup for seven days from the day an order is fulfilled. Customers cannot request to pick up items from one order at multiple stores, but can place multiple orders for pickup at multiple stores.
Customers will be charged for any items selected for BOPIS once the store fulfills the order. BOPIS orders cannot be changed or canceled online once they are placed, but customers who do not plan on picking up an order can obtain a refund by calling the store. All BOPIS orders can be returned within 90 days of purchase at any location of the chain where the order was placed. Men’s Wearhouse customers can place BOPIS orders for rental items, which will be ready two days before the event.
