  • Cardtronics to roll out ADA-compliant ATM services to FirstBank

    Houston -- Retail ATM owner Cardtronics said Tuesday that it has forged an ATM managed services agreement with Lakewood, Colo.-based FirstBank, covering the segment of its ATM network located in King Soopers grocery stores.

    As part of the agreement, Cardtronics has implemented all hardware upgrades necessary to bring the King Soopers portion of the $11 billion-asset bank’s ATM network into compliance with revised “Americans with Disabilities Act regulations set to take effect in 2012.

What hasn’t been talked about much is how that trend is starting to spread across the industry, in particular, with specialty retailers.     NEW YORK, and KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Duane Reade has added Smith Electric Vehicles' Newton zero-emission, all-electric commercial trucks to its delivery fleet.

    With the addition of these medium-duty trucks, Duane Reade is the first retail pharmacy in the United States to choose fleet electrification through a pilot program with Smith Electric Vehicles, a global leader in zero-emission, all-electric commercial vehicles.

The location features a dramatic façade, with a wraparound steel awning and tall windows that showcase the interior design and product assortment. Inside, an interactive electronics room offers shoppers the use of in-store iPads to access information about products on the company's website as well as the ability to wear-test headphones

  • JCP Dallas store reflects chain’s commitment to energy

    DALLAS — JCPenney will unveil the newest iteration of its store model with the opening of its new Dallas store in the TimberCreek Crossing shopping center on Sept. 30.

    The 105,000-sq.-ft. single-level store provides an assortment of services under one roof, including dedicated in-store environments for MNG by Mango and a 1,700-sq.-ft. Sephora shop.

  • Gold’s Gym Express to debut in Victoria, Texas

    Houston -- Baker Katz, an X Team International partner and full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm, announced that it has completed a lease for the first Gold’s Gym Express in Victoria, Texas.

    Located in the Northcross Shopping Center, Gold’s Gym Express is occupying 18,710 sq. ft. of the former H-E-B Grocery space, and joins Ashley’s Furniture HomeStore, Jason’s Deli, Dollar Tree and GameStop.
