  • Me-Ality fitting rooms to launch at select CBL malls

    Chattanooga, Tenn. -- Mall owner CBL & Associates Properties announced Wednesday the launch of Me-Ality — a size-matching station for mall shoppers — at nine CBL malls across the United States.

  • Children’s Place COO departs

    Secaucus, N.J. -- The Children’s Place announced that Eric Bauer left the company, effective June 19, 2012. President and CEO Jane Elfers will resume oversight of retailer’s supply chain, store operations, finance, information technology and real estate functions.

    Elfers said: “We thank Eric for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
     

  • Saks Off 5th to open in Carousel Center, Syracuse, N.Y.

    New York -- Saks Fifth Avenue’s Off 5th plans to open its doors in Syracuse’s Carousel Center on June 21.

    The 24,962-sq.-ft. store will be located in the center’s new expansion area called Destiny USA, which is the largest LEED certified commercial retail project in the country.

While browsing, I overheard a woman discussing the features and benefits of several digital cameras with a sales associate. The exchange seemed pleasant enough and the associate helped her select a camera that best fit her needs.

  • Maryland Live! Casino opens at Arundel Mills

    Hanover, Md. -- Simon Property Group said that Maryland Live! Casino has opened at its Arundel Mills outlet, value retail, dining and entertainment destination in Hanover, Md.

    The new $500 million gaming and entertainment destination was developed by Baltimore-based real estate developers and casino operators, The Cordish Cos.

  • Pottery Barn opening in Garden City Center

    Cranston, R.I. -- Boston-based The Wilder Cos. said that Pottery Barn is opening a new store in Garden City Center, as part of the first phase of a plan to expand, reconfigure and redevelop the historic shopping center.  

    Pottery Barn will be the larger of two stores located in a new 20,000-sq.-ft. building, and is expected to open at Garden City Center in February 2013.

    Burlington, Mass. -- Boston-based Wilder Cos. announced that, as part of a two-phased revitalization plan, Seasons 52 will open a new restaurant at Wayside in Burlington, Mass., the restaurateur’s first location in the state.
