  • Oracle acquires Micros

    Redwood Shores, Calif. – Oracle Corp. has acquired Micros Systems, a provider of integrated retail and hospitality enterprise solutions, for $5.3 billion. This figure is 27-times Micros’ current earnings.

    Micros offers on-premise and hosted cloud implementations of front- and back-office applications. Retail solutions include POS, e-commerce, CRM, merchandise planning and loss prevention.

  • PREIT completes South Mall sale, agrees to sell two more

    Philadelphia — Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust has completed the previously announced sale of South Mall in Allentown, Pennsylvania, for $23.6 million. Net of closing costs, settlement pro-rations and credits, proceeds from the transaction totaled approximately $23.1 million.

    In addition, PREIT has entered into an Agreement of Sale to dispose of its two remaining non-core malls — Nittany Mall and North Hanover Mall.

  • J.C. Penney announces closing of new $2.35 billion credit facility

    Plano, Texas -- J. C. Penney Company announced today that it has closed its new $2.35 billion asset-based senior secured credit facility, comprised of a $1.850 billion revolving line of credit and a $500 million term loan.
