Retail hiring slowed in November
New York City -- The Labor Department’s November report indicated that retailers didn't hire as many new workers during the month as they traditionally do at this time of year, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The report showed retailers are extending hours of existing workers and some may have hired earlier this year than usual.

Loehmann's files reorganization bankruptcy plan, must seek asset sale
New York City -- Loehmann's Holdings filed a Chapter 11 reorganization plan that includes a stock-rights offering backed by its Dubai-based owner, according to a Friday report by Bloomberg. The plan also includes a requirement that the Loehmann’s seek approval to sell its assets.
