  • Rainbow expands at Morse Shores

    Fort Myers, Fla. -- Brixmor Property Group announced that Rainbow recently expanded from 4,000 sq. ft. to 6,000 sq. ft. at Morse Shores, located on Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers, Fla.

    Brixmor, based in New York City, is the owner of Morse Shores.
     

  • Nordstrom opens Rack store in Back Bay area

    Boston -- CBRE/Grossman Retail Advisors said that Nordstrom will open a new Nordstrom Rack at The Newbry in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, further expanding its presence in the Boston market to four full-line stores and four Nordstrom Racks.

    The approximately 38,000-sq.-ft., two-level store is scheduled to open spring 2013.
     

  • Campbell's expands V8 portfolio

    CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell's has expanded its V8 100% vegetable juices with the addition of two new varieties.

    V8 100% vegetable juice Hint of Lime adds just a touch of lime for a crisp and refreshing taste, while V8 100% vegetable juice Hint of Black Pepper includes a dash of black pepper for a delicately spicy flavor.

  • Regency uses crowdsourcing to lease Baltimore shopping center

    Jacksonville, Fla. -- Regency Centers said Friday it is asking Baltimore residents to suggest stores and restaurants they want to open at their local Parkville Shopping Center through an online crowdsourcing platform called Popularise. 

    The leasing recommendations will be considered as part of the grocery-anchored center’s renovation, which has begun construction. 

  • Park Plaza on Maine welcomes three new tenants

    Baldwin Park, Calif. -- NewMark Merrill Cos. announced that three new tenants have joined Park Plaza on Maine, located in Baldwin Park, Calif., joining Superior Grocers, CVS, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Chase Bank, El Pollo Loco, GNC and Bank of America.

    Menchie’s Yogurt signed a five-year lease for a 1,586-sq.-ft. location; LA Eyebrow signed a five-year lease for a 1,220-sq.-ft. space; and Family Dollar signed a lease for the approximately 9,000-sq.-ft. space next door to Superior Grocers.

  • New executives named at Save Mart

    MODESTO, Calif. — Save Mart Supermarkets has appointed a new chief human resources officer and chief legal officer, as well as a new CFO.

    In the newly-created role of CHRO/CLO at Save Mart, Eric Nadworny is responsible for leading the human resources, labor relations, risk management, compliance and legal functions for the Modesto, Calif.-based grocer. Nadworny has worked at such companies as Ross Stores, BJ's Wholesale Club and Shaw's Supermarkets.

  • Eastern Mountain partners with Smart Button for customer rewards program

    Peterborough, N.H. -- Eastern Mountain Sports said Tuesday it has launched its first customer rewards program; effective Sept. 1, the outdoor retailer debuted the EMS Rewards which allows customers to earn points on purchases.

  • LandMark develops two CVS/Pharmacy stores in California

    Woodland Hills, Calif. -- LandMark Retail Group said it has completed the development of two CVS/Pharmacy stores in California – in Bakersfield and Palmdale.

    The Bakersfield store will be located in the newly developed Grand Island Village Shopping Center, a 90,000-sq.-ft. neighborhood center home to Chevron, Republic Bank and other small tenants.

    The Palmdale store is located in a Vallarta-anchored neighborhood shopping center and offers a drive-thru pharmacy.
