  • UCR announces three new leases

    Houston -- United Commercial Realty Houston has announced three new leases for Houston-area centers:

    • Goody Goody Liquor will open a third Houston-area location at Copperfield Village Shopping Center this fall.
    • Pink’s Pizza has signed a deal for its fifth area location at the Cougar Den Plaza adjacent to the University of Houston’s central campus.
    • Affinity Veterinary will open a clinic at a center located at 19450 Katy Freeway in Houston.
  • Clinique prepares to expand in North America

    NEW YORK — Cosmetic brand Clinique has promoted Jean-Christophe Jourde to the newly created position of SVP and GM of North America. Jourde will be responsible for driving sales and market share growth for the brand in the region and will report to Ricardo Quintero, SVP and global GM of market development. 

  • SoulCycle inks lease at expanding Long Island center

    Woodbury, N.Y. -- SoulCycle has taken 3,000 sq. ft. of new space at the expanding Woodbury Common Shopping Center in Woodbury on Long Island, said Charter Realty & Development Corp., who represented SoulCycle.

    Owned and managed by Kabro Associates, the 85,000-sq.-ft. Woodbury Common is undergoing a 30,000-sq.-ft. expansion that will add parking, amenities and new facades.

    Fresh Market will take 20,000 sq. ft. of the new space.

     

  • RSR Research: Multiple channels produce profits

    Walnut Creek, Calif. – A new study from RSR Research concludes that retailers offering multiple selling channels connect more with consumers and are more profitable than retailers operating a single channel. Virtually every cross-channel selling tactic is being employed by retailers more this year than in 2012, with particularly strong growth in mobile.

  • Kohl’s expands footprint in Texas

    MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s plans to open a new customer service operations center in Dallas in late spring 2014. The two-building, three-story, 240,000-sq.-ft. facility will support the company’s growing Kohl’s Charge program as well as Kohls.com.

    The company's e-commerce site reached $1.4 billion in sales last year following three consecutive years of more than 40% annual growth.

  • RED Legacy hires business development exec

    Kansas City, Kan. -- Stacy Scheelk has signed on as senior director of new business development with RED Legacy. An accredited Certified Marketing Director, Scheelk’s responsibilities include developing partnerships, securing sponsorships, creating specialty retail and increasing ancillary income.

    She comes to RED Legacy from CBL & Associates Properties where she most recently served as regional director of brand development.

     

  • Fuddruckers to open new California location

    Fairfield, Calif. -- A Fuddruckers franchisee has acquired a 14,500-sq.-ft. property on the ring road of Solano Mall in Fairfield, Calif., according to Transwestern, the brokerage that represented the franchisee.

    A Chick-fil-A restaurant attached to the property will continue to operate without change.

     

  • Former Williams-Sonoma exec to reinvent kitchens and tableware at RH

    CORTE MADERA, Calif. — Restoration Hardware Holdings has appointed former Williams-Sonoma brand president Richard Harvey as the company's CMO for RH Kitchen and Tableware.

    Harvey spent 30 years at Williams-Sonoma, Inc., most recently as president of the Williams-Sonoma brand. In his new role, Harvey will develop a curated collection of kitchen furniture, appliances, lighting, cookware, tools and food.
