  • DDR signs anchors for Seabrook Commons in N.H.

    Beachwood, Ohio — DDR Corp. has announced he lease-up and construction of Seabrook Commons, a 380,000-sq.-ft. power center slated to open in the summer of 2014 in Seabrook, N.H.

    Anchored by Wal-Mart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart, Michaels, Ulta, Five Below and Panera, the center will open 95% leased.

    The trade area has a population of 251,000 people and an average household income of approximately $90,000.

    A two-year product development process has come to an end at Bauer Hockey where the company has introduced a new line of equipment, including a futuristic full body suit, made of ultra light materials to be worn by the world’s best players in February.

  • Tractor Supply Co. joins Nasdaq-100

    Brentwood, Tenn. – Tractor Supply Company has been added to the Nasdaq -100 Index, effective with the market open on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. Shares of TSCO will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock (Nasdaq: QQQ).

    "We are proud to be joining this elite group of public companies traded on the Nasdaq exchange," said Anthony Crudele, executive VP and CFO. "Being added to the Nasdaq-100 Index is a reflection of Tractor Supply Company's significant growth and its stock performance.”

     

  • Motorola survey finds tech investments boost customer satisfaction

    Scaumburg, Ill. - Overall in-store satisfaction has grown 23% in the last six years. Meanwhile, the annual Motorola Solutions Holiday Shopping study shows that satisfaction with the checkout process and the availability of store associates has increased 32% and 23% respectively since 2008.

  • New retailers sign into Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, Minn.

    Minneapolis — The Opus Group has announced office and retail leases and two land sales in the Arbor Lakes development in Maple Grove, Minn.

    Pro Ag Management Inc. will occupy 9,179 sq. ft. on the second floor of the North End Office and Retail Building. With the Pro Ag lease, the center’s office space is now 100% leased. On the retail side, Sola Salon Studios has leased 4,524 sq. ft. of ground-level retail space in the same building. Colliers International brokers represented the tenants as well as Opus in these transactions.

  • Walgreens net earnings soar

    Deerfield Park, Ill. – Walgreen Co. reported a healthy 68% surge in net earnings during the first quarter of fiscal 2014 to $695 million from $413 million in the same period a year earlier.

    Net sales rose about 6%, to $18.3 billion from $17.3 billion, while same-store sales grew 5.4%.

  • Reebok leases store and gym space in Manhattan

    New York — Reebok has leased an 11,600-sq.-ft. space at 1 Union Square West in Manhattan for a combination Reebok Fit Hub store and Reebok Cross-fit gym. Slated to open in the spring of 2014, the location will house the bran’s Manhattan flagship store and the largest Reebok Fit Hub in the chain.

  • Rite Aid gaining momentum for 2014

    Rite Aid modestly increased its full year sales forecast following the release of third quarter results and said it will aggressively expand its “Wellness” format as it looks to drive greater growth in 2014.
