  • Target celebrates new faces of Canadian fashion

    TORONTO — Ahead of its 2013 debut, Target is building its presence in Canada with a new partnership with the Toronto Fashion Incubator for the annual TFI New Labels Fashion Design competition celebrating and supporting up and coming Canadian designers. 

    The winner will receive $25,000 and the chance to create an exclusive collection to be sold in Target stores across Canada in 2014.

    MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — Kohl’s Department Stores has announced that the Narciso Rodriguez for DesigNation collection will be available nationwide on Nov. 7 at 7 a.m.

  • Macy’s stores to open midnight on Black Friday

    New York -- For the second year in a row, Macy’s stores nationwide will open at midnight on Black Friday, Friday, Nov. 23.

    A new Black Friday feature on Macy’s mobile app will help customers browse and shop for specials specific to their local store.

  • Sears Holdings offers upgraded rewards program

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears Holdings is now offering its loyalty program members the chance to update their account to a Shop Your Way Max membership for $79 a year.

  • Tiffany to open Paris flagship

    New York -- Tiffany & Co. announced that it plans to open a flagship in Paris.

    The approximately 10,000-sq.-ft. multi-level store will be located at 62 Avenue des Champs Elysées and is expected to open in 2014.

  • Ralph Lauren pulling plug on Rugby

    New York -- Ralph Lauren Corp. is shuttering its Rugby division, Crain’s New York reported.

    The preppy-inspired Rugby brand, targeted at a young audience, was launched in 2004. It has 14 locations.

    “We continue to believe that we can service the millennium Rugby customer with brands such as Denim & Supply and Club Monaco,” said Roger Farah, president and COO, on the company’s recent earnings call.

     

  • Newsweek ranks 15 greenest retailers in America

    New York -- Office Depot has been recognized in Newsweek magazine’s annual Green Rankings as the number one greenest large retailer in the United States for the third consecutive year. Across all industry sectors, Office Depot was ranked as America’s ninth greenest large company.
