  • SRS hires senior VP in Phoenix office

    Dallas — SRS Real Estate Partners welcomes Jon Cowen as senior VP in the Phoenix office. Cowen bring 24 years of experience in commercial real estate to SRS, where he will focus on representing local and national retailers, shopping center leasing and development and investment sales.

    Previously, Cowen worked with the Retail Advisory Group at Cushman & Wakefield after Cushman acquired his own real estate firm, Cowen Commercial.

  • Report: Companies increasing budgets for mobile marketing

    New York -- The majority of companies will be increasing their budget for mobile marketing over the coming year, according to research published by Econsultancy and BuyDesire. Seven out of every 10 companies have stated that they will spend more on mobile marketing in the next 12 months, as they seek to keep up with the mobile revolution.

  • SMS Assist receives backing from investment firm

    Pritzker Group Venture Capital, formerly New World Ventures, has invested $45 million in Chicago-based SMS Assist, a leading mobile and cloud-based facilities maintenance technology company.  
     

  • Dunkin’ Donuts in college store expansion push

    Canton, Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts is increasing its focus on opening stores in college campuses and other non-traditional locations. The list of universities that have recently opened new Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in 2013 or plan to open new locations by January 2014 includes Westfield University (second location), Norwich University, Merrimack College, University of Rhode Island (opening two locations), University of Alabama Huntsville, Brandeis University, and Wayne State University.

  • Park City Group names Safeway vet as senior advisor

    Salt Lake City – Supply chain technology vendor Park City Group has named Gary Rocheleau, a 40-year retail industry veteran who most recently served as VP of retail marketing execution for Safeway subsidiary Vons Pavilions, as senior advisor.

    Other previous roles Rocheleau has held include president of Grocery Works, Safeway’s home shopping and delivery company. He began his career with Lucky Stores, Inc., where he spent nearly 23 years and his last position was VP of grocery.

  • Park City Group adds Vons/Pavilions exec to team

    Park City Group, a leading consumer goods supply chain technology provider, has appointed Gary Rocheleau as a senior adviser.  

    Rocheleau, who has more than 40 years of experience, will be responsible for developing business solutions, consulting and expanding efforts in the retail channel.

  • McDonald’s reports Q3 improvements

    Oak Brook, Ill. – McDonald’s Corporation reported positive financial results during the third quarter of fiscal 2013. The retailer’s net income grew 5% from the third quarter of the previous fiscal year, rising to $1.52 billion from $1.45 billion.

  • CBRE closes grocery-anchored center sale in Austin

    Austin, Texas CBRE’s National Retail Investment Group has announced the sale of The Market at Parmer Lane on behalf of LPC Retail, a division of Dallas-based Lincoln Property Company. The buyer is a Texas-based private real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital Partners. Terms were undisclosed.

    H-E-B Grocery anchors the 122,349-sq.-ft. center, which is 93.3% occupied.
