  • Ann Inc. launches program to donate fixtures and marketing items to charities

    New York -- Ann Inc., the parent company of Ann Taylor and Loft, announced the launch of AnnCares360, a program in partnership with Good360, a nonprofit leader in product philanthropy. The program will facilitate the donation of available displays, marketing items, and fixtures to local charities that support women and children.

  • Hodgdon Group completes Ashley Furniture project, launches Total Wine construction

    Laguna Hills, Calif. -- The Hodgdon Group said it has completed construction on the conversion of a Circuit City building in Laguna Hills, Calif., for the grand opening of an Ashley Furniture HomeStore on Friday, April 20. 



    The former Circuit City building was expanded to make way for a fully remodeled 51,000-sq.-ft. retail building, which includes the new 33,000-sq.-ft. Ashley Furniture HomeStore plus Total Wine & More in the remaining 18,000 sq. ft.

  • Ann Inc. launches reusable goods charity service

    NEW YORK — Ann Inc., the parent company of Ann Taylor and Loft, has launched AnnCares360, a program in partnership with Good360, the nonprofit leader in product philanthropy. The program will facilitate the donation of available displays, marketing items, and fixtures to local charities that support women and children.

    Through the program, all Ann Inc. stores can enter valued, reusable goods into a tracking system that will link to Good360's online product donation marketplace and its network of more than 26,000 charities.

  • Phase II of Shoppes at Fox River welcomes new tenants

    Milwaukee -- The Milwaukee office of Opus Development Corp. announced that T.J Maxx, Ulta Salon, Rue 21 and Charming Charlie’s will be the first tenants in the second phase of its Shoppes at Fox River retail development in Waukesha, Wis.

  • Sears Canada finalizes three-store sell-back to landlord

    Toronto -- Sears Canada, Inc., an arm of Sears Holdings Corp., said Friday it has completed the transaction with landlord The Cadillac Fairview Corp. to return three stores for $170 million.

    The stores – located in Vancouver, Calgary and Ottawa – are slated to be exited by Sears as of Oct 31, 2012. The agreement between Sears and the landlord was first announced in March.
     

  • Sally Beauty Supply to open at Plantation Point

    Raleigh, N.C. -- Dallas-based Cypress Equities announced that Sally Beauty Supply will open a 1,354-sq.-ft. location at Plantation Point Shopping Center, located in Raleigh, N.C.

    Sally Beauty Supply will be located between Rapid Refill and Dollar Tree at Plantation Point Shopping Center. The store is slated to open in spring 2012.

  • NewMark Merrill announces mall purchase and six management contracts

    Woodland Hills, Calif. -- NewMark Merrill Cos. has announced the acquisition of Twin Peaks Mall in Boulder, Colo., as well as six new property management contracts totaling more than one million sq. ft.

    The new property management assignments include six California centers: Simi Valley Town Center, Lancaster Plaza, Visalia Center, Topanga Willows, Paseo Marketplace in Thousand Oaks, and Page Plaza in Hemet.

  • Stage Stores names interim chief Glazer as permanent CEO

    Houston - Stage Stores said Thursday it has made Michael Glazer’s role as interim president and CEO a permanent one.

    Glazer, a board member for the chain, was named interim chief following Andy Hall’s resignation in March.

    According to Stage chairman William Montgoris, Glazer’s familiarity with the company’s growth and expansion strategy helped him secure the permanent role. “It became clear the company and its shareholders would be best served by making his appointment permanent," Montgoris said.
