  • Image redoes its image

    Moreno Valley, Calif. — Image, a junior fashion retailer, has re-opened at the Moreno Valley Mall in Moreno Valley, Calif., with a big brand new image. The new store has expanded to 10,000 sq. ft. and is located on the lower level between Crazy 8 and Sports Treasure, according to Spinoso Real Estate Group, the mall’s property manager.

  • Barney’s plans new Manhattan flagship in 2017

    New York – Barney’s New York plans to open a flagship in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan in 2017. The downtown store will consist of five floors totaling close to 57,000 sq. ft. and be located on the site of a former Barney’s flagship on Seventh Avenue that was open from 1923-1998.

  • Jared opens 200th store

    Akron, Ohio -- Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry officially opened its 200th location in Carle Place, N.Y., at the Carle Place Commons Center. The store includes a complementary refreshment area, a children’s play area and a full-service custom jewelry design and repair center, which will custom mount, clean and repair most jewelry.

  • Bovet watchmaker to open midtown Manhattan flagship

    New York -- Swiss watchmaker Bovet 1822 will open a New York City flagship, just its fourth boutique in the world.

    The 50 Central Park South store in the heart of midtown Manhattan is in the base of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The classic yet modern space incorporates walnut furniture lined with suede.

    New York — The annual ICSC U.S. Design and Development Awards competition focuses on four general categories: Innovative Design and Construction of a New Project; Renovation or Expansion of an Existing Project; Sustainable Design; and Retail Store Design.

    The 2013 gold winners in the New Development category are City Creek Center, Salt Lake City, and Mosaic District, Fairfax, Va.

    In the Renovations and Expansions, the silver winner is: Cross County Shopping Center, Yonkers, N.Y.

  • Rolex, Tourbillon, Tod’s, Trina Turk to The Galleria

    Houston — Simon Property Group has announced four new leases for The Galleria in Houston.

    Rolex will open an 1,800-sq.-ft. store next summer in Galleria I. Taking 2,815 sq. ft. Tourbillon will open its first Houston store in Galleria II in the early summer of 2014. Tod’s will debut in Houston with a 2,000-sq.-ft. store opening in Galleria I in early summer 2015. Trina Turk will open a 1.400-sq.-ft. store in the fall of 2014 in Galleria I.

  • Four new upscale retailers come to Galleria in Houston

    Houston -- Simon Property Group announced today that four new, high-end retailers, Rolex, Tod's, Trina Turk and Tourbillon, will be added to the retail mix at The Galleria shopping center in Houston. Gucci, Tory Burch, Zara, Sephora and Club Monaco will also execute lease renewals and expansions in 2014. In addition, Chanel has renewed its lease and will be renovating the boutique.

  • Tiffany’s uses vinyl window displays

    New York -- Impact Architectural Signs completed a street-level, storefront signage project for Tiffany's in Chicago that served as a fall seasonal promotion to help sell upscale watches. The Michigan Avenue retailer used vinyl window graphics in which gold vinyl film was used to suggest a clock face.
