Salt Lake City – Overstock.com reported substantial increases in net income during the full year and fourth quarter 2013. During the full fiscal year, net income jumped 503% to $88.5 million from $14.7 million the prior fiscal year.

During the fourth quarter, net income rose an ever larger 737% to $73.6 million from $8.8 million. Revenue increased 19% during the full fiscal year to $1.3 billion from $1.09 billion, and grew 16% to $397.6 million from $342 million during the fourth quarter.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores has promoted Tony Carosello to VP, real estate. Carosello, previously director of real estate operations for the company, will report to Jim Kerr, EVP, CFO.

Brentwood, Tenn. – Tractor Supply Company reported increased net income and sales for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2013, compared to the same periods a year earlier. Net income grew 18.7% to $328.2 million from $276.5 million for the full fiscal year, and 21% to $95.9 million from $79.5 million for the fourth quarter.

Target plans to carry on its Canadian expansion this year with nine additional stores, the majority of which will open in Ontario, although the retailer plans to open single stores in Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta and B.C.

The Woodlands, Texas -- Conn’s announced the opening of four Conn’s HomePlus stores, with locations in Albuquerque, N.M.; Amarillo, Texas; Chandler, Arizona; and Shreveport, Louisiana.

The design of the 301,389-sq.ft. store, which took top honors in Chain Store Age's 2014 Retail Store of the Year design competition, utilized the natural surroundings as a reference for the interior's organic shapes, color, textures and patterns, creating a space that balances nature and modernism.

Minneapolis – An internal investigation conducted by Dorsey & Whitney LLP, independent counsel to the Audit Committee of Tile Shop Holdings, Inc. has found no wrongdoing in Tile Shop’s relationship with Beijing Pingxiu, a Chinese export trading company formerly utilized by the company and some of its Chinese vendors.

Weiman Products, a leading manufacturer of specialty cleaning products, has acquired Goo Gone, Magic, Stone Care International, Natural Magic, OOPS! Paint Remover and Gonzo brands from the Homax Group.
