  • Foot Locker extends partnership with HR solutions provider

    DALLAS — PeopleAnswers has extended its software licensing agreement for Foot Locker, Inc. to use the PeopleAnswers HR solution in its 2,500 stores across the United States representing Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports and Footaction.

  • Express names David Kornberg president

    Columbus, Ohio -- Express announced that David Kornberg has been promoted to president. He will have responsibility for both the men's and women's merchandising and design functions.

    Kornberg was most recently executive VP men's merchandising & design, a position he held since 2007.

     

  • Family Dollar names chief marketer

    Matthews, N.C. — Family Dollar Stores has named Jocelyn Wong to the position of SVP, chief marketing officer. Wong will report to Michael Bloom, president and COO.

  • Children's Place names new board member

    Secaucus, N.J. — The Children's Place Retail Stores has named Tricia Griffith to the company's board of directors.

  • Scotts Miracle-Gro names SVP independent channel

    The Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. has appointed Phil Jones, formerly president of its west coast region, to lead its retail channel for independent garden centers and hardware co-op stores as SVP independent channel.

  • Dollarama adds new director to board

    MONTREAL — Canadian dollar-store chain, Dollarama, has named Richard Roy as an independent director of the corporation. Roy will fill the vacancy created among the board of directors by the resignation of Matthew Levin.

    Roy will also sit on the audit committee of the corporation, and Huw Thomas, independent director of Dollarama, will replace Levin on the human resources and compensation committee while remaining a member of the audit committee and the nominating and governance committee of the corporation.

  • Long-time media exec joins Dollar General board

    GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General has named Pat Fili-Krushel to its board of directors effective Oct. 15.
