  • Management shake-up at Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart

    Brampton, Ontario -- Loblaw Cos. on Thursday announced a series of management changes, including the appointment of Galen Weston, executive chairman, as president, effective immediately. He succeeds Vicente Trius, president since August 2011, who is leaving the company, effective immediately,  for family reasons to return to Brazil.

  • G&K Services adds president of Frito-Lay North America to board

    G&K Services, a service-focused market leader of branded uniform and facility services programs in the United States and the largest such provider in Canada, has added Frito-Lay North America president Thomas R. Greco to its board of directors and its compensation committee.

  • Simon breaks ground on Chicago Premium Outlets expansion

    Aurora, Ill. — Simon has launched construction of its expansion of Chicago Premium Outlets, adding 50 new stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, and including a comprehensive renovation of the Chicagoland center.

  • Sherwin-Williams adds FedEx Express exec to board

    The board of directors at the Sherwin-Williams Company elected Matthew Thornton III as its newest member.

    Effective July 16, Thornton will join the board as its tenth director, as well as a member of its audit committee.

  • Hardy Capital buys two online shoe retailers

    Seattle - Hardy Capital Partners, along with a small group of Canadian investors, have acquired 100% of OnlineShoes.com, a $140 million profitable online footwear retailer based out of Seattle. Hardy Capital Partners has also acquired 100% of ShoeMe.ca, a Vancouver-based online footwear retailer, for an undisclosed amount.

  • RKF announces two promotions in Northern New Jersey office

    Rutherford, N.J. -- RKF announced that two brokerage professionals have been promoted in its New Jersey office. Glenn Beyer has been promoted from managing director to senior managing director, while Conor O’Hara was promoted from canvasser to associate.

  • Ralph Lauren exec joins Simon as CEO of premium outlets

    Indianapolis – Simon has named retail and real estate executive Stephen Yalof as CEO of premium outlets and senior executive VP of Simon. Yalof has served as senior VP of real estate for Ralph Lauren Corp. since 2002.
     
    His 15 years of experience within the retail industry also includes his role as senior director of real estate for Gap. Yalof began his career in real estate at New Plan Realty Trust, and became VP of leasing for their factory outlet business. 

     

  • Dollar Tree taps former Tractor Supply exec as VP, investor relations

    Dollar Tree has appointed former Tractor Supply executive Randy Guiler as VP of investor relations. Guiler succeeds Timothy Reid, who is retiring.
