  • President of Safeway's Dominick's division resigns

    PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway announced Thursday that the president of its Chicago-area Dominick’s Finer Foods division, Don Keprta, has resigned.

    “Don has contributed significantly to the Dominick’s stores. His commitment and innovation helped the stores evolve to best serve the Chicagoland customers. We are fortunate that he has produced a team that is prepared to continue to build on our current momentum,” said chairman, president and CEO Steve Burd.

  • Coyote Management names Chapel Hills Mall marketing director

    Addison, Texas — Coyote Management, L.P. said that Jennifer Hillard will join Coyote Management starting July 18 as the new marketing director at the1.2-million-sq.-ft. Chapel Hills Mall, located in Colorado Springs, Colo. 

    Hillard was previously field communications manager/field trafficking manager at General Growth Properties, Chicago.     

  • Office Depot reshuffles personnel

    BOCA RATON, Fla. — Office Depot has combined its two largest divisions and named Kevin Peters to the new role of president of North America. The change gives Peters, who previously served as president of North American retail, continuing oversight of the retail group in addition to leadership of the company’s North American business solutions division which is focused on large and mid-size commercial customers.

  • Office Depot names president of newly combined North America division

    Boca Raton, Fla. — Office Depot Inc. announced Wednesday that it has appointed Kevin Peters as president, North America, a new position that combines the company’s previous North American Retail and North American Business Solutions divisions.

    Peters was previously president of North American Retail.

  • New leadership names at Pet Supplies "Plus"

    FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Pet Supplies “Plus” announced that Dave Bolen was promoted to president and CEO, effective July 11.

    Bolen joined PSP on May 2 as president after spending five years at Petco Animal Supplies, a national retailer of pet food and supplies, where he served as EVP and chief merchandising officer. Prior to Petco, Bolen served as EVP merchandising, marketing and supply chain at Jo-Ann Stores, a leading specialty retailer of fabric and craft supplies.

  • Wal-Mart replaces departed China COO, CFO

    Shanghai — Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced it has appointed its current Canada finance chief Sean Clarke as COO over the company’s China operations, after former CFO Roland Lawrence and COO Rob Cissell left the company in May.

    According to a report by Bloomberg, Clarke will be joined by Steve Smith, named chief marketing officer in China. Smith was senior VP at Delhaize Group.
