  • Save the date: LPGA returns to NWA June 17-23

    Walmart and Procter & Gamble have signed on as primary sponsors for LPGA’s tour event in Northwest Arkansas for the next three years.

    The event has been a phenomenal success for the region and grown in significance each year by attracting top LPGA talent. Next year, the tournament known officially as the Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship presented by P&G will be held June 17-23 at the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.

    Broomfield, Colo. -- TCBY, The Country's Best Yogurt will open a flagship in Broomfield, Colo., which will also serve as the company's training center for its domestic and international franchisees.

  • Kuapay launches mobile payment solution at KFC/Taco Bell locations

    Santa Monica, Calif. -- Mobile payment platform provider Kuapay said Thursday it has launched a new payment system at 14 KFC/Taco Bell restaurants in the Los Angeles area.

    Duapay and franchisee Great American Chicken Corp launched the system in order to make smartphone ordering and payment faster and easier. The launch follows a two-month pilot program and encompasses locations in Los Angeles County, Orange County and the Ontario area.

  • New Denny’s in Las Vegas has in-house wedding chapel

    Las Vegas -- Denny has opened a  flagship diner, called "Denny's on Fremont," on Freemont Street in downtown Las Vegas. Among other attractions, the one-of-a-kind diner: boasts an in-house wedding chapel.

  • NCR to acquire Retalix

    Duluth, Ga. -- NCR Corp. announced a definitive agreement for NCR to acquire Retalix Ltd., a leading global provider of innovative retail software and services, for a cash purchase price of $30.00 per Retalix share, for a transaction value of approximately $650 million.

  • Bayer forms JV to acquire The Avenue Webb Gin

    Birmingham, Ala. -- Bayer Properties announced that, through a joint venture between it and institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, has acquired The Avenue Webb Gin outdoor mixed-use shopping center from Atlanta-based Cousins Properties.

  • Inland acquires The Corner Shopping Center

    Tucson, Ariz. -- Oakbrook, Ill.-based Inland Diversified Real Estate Trust announced the acquisition of The Corner, an 80,155-sq.-ft. shopping center in Tucson, Ariz., for approximately $29.5 million.

    Tenants at The Corner include Total Wine, Nordstrom Rack and Five Guys Burgers and Fries, along with Sleep Number by Select Comfort, Sprint and Paradise Bakery.
