  • Sonic Corp. taps Micros Systems as its POS and strategic enterprise partner

    Columbia, Md. -- Micros Systems announced that Sonic Corp., the nation's largest chain of drive-in restaurants with over 3,500 locations, has selected Micros as its strategic enterprise solution partner.  

  • Noble Roman’s signs eight more franchise locations

    New York — Noble Roman’s, the franchisor of Nobel Roman’s Pizza and Tuscano’s Italian Style Subs, has announced signed agreements for eight more stand-alone locations, brining the total of signed locations to 29.

    To date, eight locations are open and 21 are under development.

     

  • Red Robin swoops into Peoria, Ill.

    Greenwood Village, Colo. — Red Robin Gourmet Burgers will open its first location in Peoria, Ill., on Sept. 2. To help celebrate the grand opening, Red Robin will donate the new restaurant’s sales of Freckled Lemonade for the first week of operations to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer.

  • Habit Burger Grill to open sixth Arizona location

    Phoenix — The Habit Burger Grill is opening its sixth Arizona location in Scottsdale in the Promenade at Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright.

    The Irvine, Calif.-based restaurant also operates more than 60 locations in California and two in Utah.

     

  • Domino’s debuts new design in metro New Orleans

    New Orleans — Domino’ Pizza franchise operator in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, RPM Pizza, has debuted a new Domino’s store design on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in the New Orleans metropolitan area.

    The new design includes a lobby, open-area viewing of food preparation and a lobby screen that tracks carryout orders electronically. In addition, chalkboards invite customers to leave feedback for store employees.

    Dominos boasts more than 10,400 stores in more than 70 international markets.

     

  • Finest Café & Marketplace to NYC financial district

    New York — Finest Café & Marketplace has leased a storefront at 46 Trinity Place, between Edgar and Rector Streets in New York City’s financial district.

     It will be the casual dining and take-out restaurant’s fifth Manhattan location. Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, Joseph A. Aquino, executive VP, and Arthur Maglio of Douglas Elliman’s Retail Group represented the landlord and tenant.

     

  • Stop & Shop, Pawtucket Red Sox hold Healthy Kids Summit

    QUINCY, Mass. — Stop & Shop hosted a Healthy Kids Summit at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I. with help PawSox infielder Tony Thomas; the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket; Dr. Marjorie Nasin, director of Clinical Pediatrics & Pediatric Education at Memorial Hospital of R.I.; and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. 

  • Evanston Plaza welcomes three new tenants

    Evanston, Ill. — Three new tenants are coming to the 212,373-sq.-ft. Evanston Plaza on Chicago’s North Shore, according to Mid-America Asset Management Inc. www.midamericagrp.com, the exclusive representative of the center.

    DaVita, a division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc., signed a lease for 10,000 sq. ft. and plans to open a kidney dialysis center in the fall of 2013. The U.S. Army & Marines lease 2,424 sq. ft. for a recruitment center. Papa Romeo’s Pizza has taken 1,464 sq. ft.
