  • Togo's to develop 20 locations in Oregon and California

    San Jose, Calif. -- Togo's Eateries announced the signing of two multi-unit franchise agreements with an existing franchise group to develop 20 new restaurants in Oregon and California over the next several years.

    Togo's franchisee Mark Fischer will open 10 restaurants in Portland, Ore., and 10 additional locations in Los Angeles County, with the first location scheduled to open in Portland, Ore. in first quarter 2014.

    This new development is part of the chain’s plan to grow the brand to 400 restaurants along the West Coast.

  • Pure Barre inks deals with two Chicagoland centers

    Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. — Pure Barre has leased space in two Chicagoland shopping centers, according to Mid-America Asset Management Inc., the firm representing the centers.

    PB Holdco LLC, d/b/a Pure Barre took 1,845 sq. ft. at Church Street Plaza in Evanston, Ill., and opened in August. Co-tenants include CineMark Century Theatres, Bravo! Cucina Italiana, Urban Outfitters, Cost Plus World Market and others.

  • Two new restaurants for The Avenue Peachtree City

    Atlanta — Brixx Wood Fired Pizza and Which Wich? Superior Sandwiches have leased restaurant space at The Avenue Peachtree City in Atlanta. Brixx will open Sept. 17 in what will be its third Georgia location.

    Which Wich? with more than 50 kinds of sandwiches will make The Avenue is 15th Georgia location.

     

  • Pret A Manger leases Capitol Hill building

    Washington, D.C. — Pret A Manger has leased a two-story retail building on Capital Hill in Washington, D.C., according to Douglas Development, the building’s owner. Located just two blocks from the U.S. Capitol Building, the restaurant will occupy 4,300-sq. ft. and offer two floors of indoor dining as well as a large outdoor patio.

    Originally from London, Pret A Manger opened its first U.S. location in 2000 near the New York Stock Exchange. Today, there are over 300 Pret A Manger locations worldwide.

     

  • Barneys New York unveils new credit card program

    New York -- Barneys New York has launched a new credit card program that features an “Influencer tier” for added luxury benefits and incentives.

    The new program expands on the My Barneys Bag platform, which offers card members reward points based on annual spend, and offers additional benefits – through the Influencer tier – to a select group of high spenders.

  • NYC’s new Pier 57 complex renamed SuperPier

    New York -- Youngwoo & Associates (YWA) announced that the Pier 57 development at West 15th Street in Hudson River Park, Manhattan will now be officially known as SuperPier. Constructed in 1952, Pier 57 was an engineering marvel, built on three giant buoyant and hollow concrete boxes, or concrete caissons. Described as indestructible, it was dubbed “Super Pier” when it opened.

  • Hideaway Pizza installing March Networks video surveillance solution

    Ottawa, Ontario -- March Networks, a supplier of intelligent IP video solutions, announced that Hideaway Pizza, a dine-in and takeout restaurant chain in Oklahoma, has selected the company’s next-generation retail solution to enhance security, reduce shrink, and optimize operations.

    Hideaway Pizza has already started deploying the video surveillance solution. It is using the high-quality video to help improve loss prevention (LP) efforts, as well as increase store performance and profitability.
