  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans nine new stores in Reno

    Canton, Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with new franchise group, HT2 Franchising, LLC, to develop nine new restaurants throughout Reno, Nev. The first restaurant is expected to open in 2015 and the remainder by 2020.

    With this agreement, Dunkin' Donuts franchise opportunities are sold out in Reno, but opportunities exist to grow the brand throughout the West in Colorado and California.

  • Cullinan appoints new property manager

    Peoria, Ill. — Cullinan Properties has appointed Robey R. Taylor as property manager at the Streets of St. Charles in St. Charles, Mo.

    Taylor brings 20 years of experience in property management — both in retail and office — in the St. Louis market to the post.

  • ArbiterSports restructures leadership as part of growth initiative

    ArbiterSports, a leading game management solutions provider, has named Jeremy Brown as the company’s chief technology officer.

    According to the company, they brought in Brown because he is a software architect, user-interface designer and quality assurance expert. To address the company’s accelerated growth, a decision was made to divide the responsibilities of CTO and chief infrastructure officer between two individuals. Both roles were previously handled by Troy Black, who will retain the job of chief infrastructure officer.

  • Pizza Hut enhances mobile ordering

    Plano, Texas – Pizza Hut is introducing all-new mobile ordering apps and a refreshed mobile website. The new mobile enhancements will enable users to order in less than 30 seconds, will be GPS-enabled to assist in finding the nearest restaurant and will immediately update as new products and deals are introduced.

  • Target to open 33 Canadian stores in November

    Mississauga, Ont. – Target Canada has announced the opening dates for 33 additional Canadian store locations spanning across nine provinces, including its first stores in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

    Thirty-one store locations are scheduled to open on Nov. 13, and the remaining two locations will open on Nov. 22, completing Target's Canadian store openings for 2013.

  • Starbucks offers Twitter gift cards

    Seattle -- Starbucks is now offering gift cards that can be sent via Twitter. Under the company’s new “tweet-a-coffee program,” customers in the U.S. can sync their Starbucks account to their Twitter account and tweet to @tweetacoffee and the Twitter handle of the gift recipient, which will then send the recipient a $5 digital eGift.

  • Largest Disney store ever slated for Shanghai

    The Walt Disney Company said it would enter China in 2015 with a new retail location planned for Shanghai that measures 10,800-sq.-ft. on a 53,000-sq.-ft. site in the heart of the city’s financial district.
    Disney currently operates 340 worldwide locations but until this week’s announcement in Shanghai had steered clear of opening stores in mainland China.

  • Krispy Kreme announces grand opening in Doraville, Ga.

    Winston-Salem, N.C. — Krispy Kreme has announced the grand opening of a new Doughnut Factory in Doraville, Ga., for Oct. 29. The first 100 guests in line will receive free doughnuts for a year and commemorative T-shirts. The newly constructed, freestanding 2,300-sq.-ft. store includes a drive-through.

    Today, Krispy Kreme operates more than 785 locations in 22 countries around the world.
